EcoSense Cleaners

MelaMagic, Sol-U-Mel, Sol-U-Guard Botanical

Earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes—all these disasters can cause massive damage and destruction. The relief efforts after these events aren’t called cleanup for nothing. Assuming that a house is still inhabitable, extensive cleaning is often necessary after debris is removed.

Melaleuca offers an extensive lineup of effective eco-friendly cleaners under the brand EcoSense. There’s a cleaner for every kind of need, especially when cleaning up after a storm, a flood, or an earthquake.

MelaMagic is EcoSense’s heavy-duty cleaner. It’s perfect for grime and grease and anything that an all-purpose cleaner just can’t handle, which is most things during disaster cleanup.

Sol-U-Mel is a 3-in-1 super cleaner: stain remover, odor remover, and everyday cleaner. Just like MelaMagic, it’s designed for tough jobs, like cleaning up a home damaged by a flood. Sol-U-Mel works on nearly any kind of surface, and though it’s usually used diluted, it can be applied full-strength for particularly stubborn stains and messes.

Sol-U-Guard Botanical is EcoSense’s powerful EPA-registered plant-based disinfectant. With disaster, and especially flood water, comes harmful bacteria and viruses. Powered by thyme oil and citric acid, Sol-U-Guard Botanical kills 99.9% of household germs, an absolute necessity to ensure that the cleanup process is also a healthy process.

And all these EcoSense cleaners also come in convenient wipes to make cleanup easy and as fast as possible for victims and volunteers.

Melaleuca Koala Kubs

Koala Kubs Baby Wipes and Diaper Rash Cream

When disaster strikes, women and children should be the first to receive care, and this is especially true for mothers with babies. During such a difficult time, the last thing those women should have to worry about is how to take care of their littles. That’s why Koala Kubs Baby Wipes and Diaper Rash Cream are always at the top of the list for delivered supplies.

Koala Kubs Baby Wipes are made with over 99% water. These plant-based wipes are biodegradable, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic. And Koala Kubs Diaper Rash Cream uses zinc oxide to protect baby’s bottom while glycerin and calendula oil help to soothe the skin. The diaper rash cream is also hypoallergenic and fragrance-free.

Melaleuca soap

The Gold Bar

The Gold Bar has been part of the Melaleuca portfolio since the company’s founding. And it has remained largely unchanged for that entire time because it’s simply the best bath bar on the market. Homes aren’t the only thing that need cleaning. Disaster victims still need to take care of their personal hygiene, and being able to keep yourself clean can make a world of difference when everything around you seems to have fallen apart.

Using glycerin, aloe vera, natural cleansers, Melaleuca oil, and other essential oils, The Gold Bar lasts an average of two to nine times longer than grocery store brands. In times of difficulty, a long-lasting bar of soap can make all the difference!

Exceed-Tooth-Polish

Exceed Tooth Polish

Dental health is something that certainly can’t be overlooked after a disaster. Keeping your teeth clean is just as important as keeping your body clean. Melaleuca has often included Exceed Tooth Polish in its deliveries of emergency supplies. During cleanup efforts, families and individuals deserve to be able to focus on rebuilding and recovering their lives. Taking care of the day-to-day necessities, like hygiene and snacks, is the least Melaleuca can do to help.

Riverbend Ranch
Riverbend Ranch

Riverbend Ranch Black Label Beef

In 1992, then Melaleuca CEO Frank VanderSloot and his wife Belinda founded Riverbend Ranch. Through carefully selected individual purchases of cows and bulls, they gradually grew their herd, and today Riverbend Ranch has one of the largest Black Angus cattle herds in the country. In 2023, Frak unveiled a new processing plant for the ranch and also announced that Riverbend Ranch would become a division of Melaleuca, allowing Melaleuca customers to order the ranch’s USDA prime and high choice beef.

In 2024, Melaleuca donated over 24,000 pounds of beef to the Idaho Foodbank to help feed families suffering from food insecurity. Through the Idaho Foodbank, the beef was distributed to the food bank’s nonprofit partner organizations throughout eastern Idaho.

In 2023, as we all know, a terrible wildfire raged through western Maui and destroyed much of the historic town of Lahaina. Without wasting a minute, Melaleuca sent food and supplies to the Maui victims. Frank also got involved personally and donated 20,000 pounds of beef from his meat-processing facility in Oahu (a separate operation from Riverbend Ranch). Frank worked alongside local ranchers, nonprofits, and government entities to get the beef to the victims, and it fed them for two months!

Frank’s Hawaii beef company, Hawaii Sustainable Beef, even received a letter from Hawaii governor Josh Green, thanking the company for its generous contribution that made such an enormous impact on the community.
