Melaleuca: The Wellness Company is an international consumer goods company that operates in 20 different countries and territories. Melaleuca manufactures and distributes more than 400 health and wellness products, which it ships to more than 2 million households throughout the world.

The company was founded in 1985 and has maintained the same mission statement since then: “to enhance the lives of those we touch by helping people reach their goals.”

This simple but powerful idea is what unites all of Melaleuca’s customers, employees, and Marketing Executives throughout the world. Despite speaking different languages, living in different cultures, and holding different beliefs, we all come together to make this world a better place for each other and for those around us.

Unchanging Principles of Wellness

Melaleuca has changed a lot since 1985. Though we manufacture more than 400 products now, in 1985 we sold only eight products. In those days, the company employed just a handful of individuals. Now we employ more than 2,000 Team Members in the United States, and still more internationally.

On the outside, Melaleuca is very different from what it was in those days. We’re much bigger now, our products ship to households all over the world, and we have an annual revenue of $2 billion. But despite our growth, our mission to enhance lives has not changed. Through superior products, through humanitarianism, and through our amazing business opportunity, we help people live better lives and reach their goals.

We now have manufacturing and distribution facilities in Knoxville and Kansas City (and one in China for our Asian market), but our headquarters are still in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where we began and where we will always be.

In 2019, a Gallup survey showed that only 27% of surveyed employees “strongly believe in their company’s values.” Many of these companies do a lot of good, but many of them also do not have powerful mission statements that permeate their culture and unite their employees and customers. Not so at The Wellness Company! Every Melaleuca Team Member knows that our mission is to “enhance the lives of those we touch by helping them reach their goals.”

Melaleuca Is a Different Kind of Company

Our Team Members, our Marketing Executives, and even our customers know that Melaleuca is on a mission to enhance lives. And they themselves also live that mission. Although we are a manufacturer and distributor of hundreds of wellness products, simply selling products isn’t what we’re all about. Yes, through those products, we help people live healthier, more vibrant lives. Yes, we help people get their homes clean with safe, eco-friendly home cleaners. Yes, we even help people gain financial freedom through the opportunity to grow a Melaleuca business. And yes, we have supported victims of natural disaster, helped feed the hungry, supported veterans and law enforcement, and more. But all of this is about the big picture. It means that we are enhancing the lives of those we touch and helping people reach their goals.
